General Ethinic Studies
Requirements for the Minor
Students opting to minor in Ethnic Studies take classes that demonstrate the breadth of the Program’s course offerings. A minor in Ethnic Studies is granted to the student who (1) meets the university requirements for graduation with a bachelor’s degree, (2) fulfills eighteen (18) hours of course work from the classes listed below, (3) takes Ethnic Studies 2500—Introduction to Ethnic Studies and (4) takes at least one class from three of the four Ethnic Studies Program Sequences—Asian Pacific American, American Indian, Chicana/o and African American Studies. Consultation with an Ethnic Studies advisor is required.
